The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) is a statutory agency established to regulate the energy sector in Zambia. The ERB regulates enterprises in the energy sector in the areas of electricity, fossil fuels and other forms of energy like solar.
In order to carry out this role, the ERB, among other functions, issues licences to undertakings in the energy sector, monitors levels and structures of competition and investigates and remedies consumer complaints against undertakings. Further, in order to share energy information, the ERB regularly interacts with the media through activities like tours of energy infrastructure, workshops and press briefings among others. Against this background, the ERB wishes to recognise and award outstanding energy articles published during the course of 2019.
