JOURNALISTS SHOCKED AT MUFULIRA POLICE ILLEGAL CONNECTIONS SAGA

Copperbelt based journalists in February expressed shock to learn that police officers at Kantanshi Police Camp had illegally connected electricity to their homes using unauthorized lines, which posed a grave danger to human lives.

The officers argued that they could not live without electricity and had no alternative but to illegally connect their households and they were ready to deal with anyone who would try to disconnect them.

The findings were made during an ERB field visits for Copperbelt based journalists of ZESCO infrastructure on the Copperbelt.
