Mongu Consumer Watch Group Launched

The Energy Regulation Board, National Water Supply and Sanitation Council and Communications Authority of Zambia on Thursday 7th June 2007 launched the Mongu Consumer Watch Group

The Mongu Consumer Watch Group, which was launched at Ngulu Hotel, attracted various Mongu residents who expressed joy at the development saying it would help resolve some consumer concerns regarding poor service delivery in the district.

The watch group becomes the seventh established by the three regulators after those for Lusaka, Kitwe, Ndola, Chingola, Mufulira and Luanshya were established. The watch group initiative is being rolled out to different parts of the country to enhance participation in regulation, given that the regulators do not have offices in most parts of the country.
